Two little ducklings with their mother
The silt pond is on the left before the mini dam. Straw bales sit in the lake to soak up invasive algae and provide a good perch for the ducks!.
Clanna
Grid Ref SO584023
Our last regular outing of the spring brought us back to Clanna on a fine spring day. This lake is used by the anglers to fish for trout which are regularly re-stocked and the lake is well maintained by the anglers. Our task was to clear the laurel surrounding the silt pond at the top of the lake. The silt has built up and the anglers needed to clear around it to get machinery in.
Lunch was cooked over our fire - baked potatoes and trout caught that morning - scrumptious!
